Welcome to McShaw Optometrists

We are a leading national  high street practice specialising  in the clinical health of your eyes. Our extraordinary  problem solving approach, together with the considerable specialist  expertise of our resident Optometrist along with  hospital standard equipment,  yields  so many positive results for clients. We know our early detection  can preserve  your  vision.

This extensive range of equipment  places you at the centre of all we do and enables us to undertake advanced analysis to detect conditions as soon as possible. Preferably before it  affects your vision. Conditions detected early could be glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and vascular disease, dry and wet age related macular degeneration, central serous retinopathy and vitreo-retinal interface disorders. Other conditions such as raised cholesterol, anterior eye disease, cataracts  the list goes on….

Often, time to explain what is happening and why, can be enough to help you understand your eyes and their care. This is not just a  sight test, but a journey through your eyes, one that enables you to appreciate  and care for those sight giving structures.

Our small and commited team will be more than happy to welcome you to our practice and answer any questions you might have. You'll see the same dedicated Optometrist and the dispenser of your choice at each visit. This  ensures continuity of care and to fosters that long term relationship, because  comparison over time is one of those key ingredients to accurate monitoring.
